Dag 6

En god morgen! Det går bedre nå, og jeg begynner å bli vant til livet uten mat. Utenom Xtravaganza kuren, tillater jeg meg litt kaffe og ellers bare vann. I store mengder! Jeg har visst gått ned ca. 5 kg. Jeg sier "vist" da badevekten er gammel og sliten, og jeg venter til det har gått 1 uke med å erklære snitt for uken.

Har gått en lett tur hver dag, og venter med å starte tyngre trening til jeg føler kroppen har vendt seg til dietten. Kanskje jeg starter med lett trening i ettermiddag?

Spiser pulver og drømmer om mat. En skive med hvitost hadde smakt, sånn omtrent NÅ

I dag har jeg oppnådd ketose tilstand! Startet med lett hodepine i går, og i dag har jeg et sikkert tegn: kjempe dårlig ånde...

Ketose

• Ketose = en kjemisk tilstand i kroppen man kommer i når man inntar tilstrekkelig lite karbohydrater.
• Kroppsfett blir brutt ned til glyserol og fettsyrer.
• Glyserolet blir dannet om til glukose (druesukker). På den måten får man energi og mer stabile blodsukkerverdier.
• Fettsyrene forbrennes og dannes delvis om til ketonlegemer. Ketose er en en tilstand man er i når man har ketoner i blodet.
• Det som skjer i praksis er at man forbrenner kroppsfett raskt, mens muskelmassen ikke blir redusert.
• For friske mennesker er det overhodet ikke skadelig å bruke denne metoden. Men det finnes en del tilstander der man ikke skal bruke denne teknikken for å gå ned i vekt.

Ketose

Når du først slutter å tilføre kroppen karbohydrater og erstatter dem med proteiner og fett vil metabolismen endre seg for å tilpasse seg dette. Denne første prosessen kalles lipolyse, og kroppen instiller seg på å bruke fett istedet for karbohydrater som drivstoff. Ketose, er den andre delen av denne prosessen, og det er nå kroppen virkelig begynner å brenne fett for å dekke sitt energibehov. Navnet ketose er relatert til selve prosessen hvor fett blir brutt ned til ketoner i leveren. Disse brukes så til energi av kroppen. Dannelsen av ketoner er en helt normal prosess som foregår i kroppen hele tiden, gjerne om natten, eller om det er gått lang tid siden siste måltid og det derfor er behov for ekstra energi. Ketose fører ikke til tap av muskelmasse, med mindre du ikke har fett i kroppen, og dette er spesiellt gunstig siden større muskelmasse krever mer energi som igjen forbrenner mer fett. Når ketose først inntreffer kan du ta av utrolig mye fett på bare et par uker. Bivirkninger av ketose kan være dårlig ånde ved at det blir en acetonlignende lukt av ånden, samt at du kan føle deg slapp og litt trøtt. Dårlig ånde skyldes at overskuddet av ketoner skilles ut gjennom pusten. Det er dog ikke alle som opplever denne bieffekten. Mesteparten av ketonene skilles ut via urinen, og du kan derfor benytte spesielle strips for å sjekke om du har oppnåd ketose. Disse kalles ketostix eller ketonstix. Ketose må ikke forveksles med diabetisk ketoacidose som oppstår hos diabetespasienter og er en helsefarlig tilstand. Såkalt diettindusert ketose som er det man ønsker å oppnå for å ta av kiloene er ikke farlig, og er en prosess som er helt naturlig for kroppen. Kilde: ketose.no

Leste i dag at slanking kan føre til depresjoner. Så galt er det ikke ennå. Men sulten er jeg! Det sies at det skal bli bedre?

Dag 2

Har overlevd første dagen. Var litt tøft ikke å spise, og jeg var fristet ofte. Hjalp litt med kaffe og vann med lime som jeg har lov å drikke. Gikk ned 3 kilo, men det var ventet da jeg forstår man mister mye vann i kroppen i starten. 

Her er hvordan jeg så ut for et par år siden (1978). Mon tro om jeg blir like slank?:

Tror ikke jeg får håret tilbake. Det får være grenser til mirakler :-)

...ja i alle fall slank.

I morgen skal jeg starte min slankekur. Den heter Xtravaganza, og kanskje den virker... Vel, vi får da prøve.
Jeg starter med midjemål på 130 cm, og dagens vekt er 123 kg. BMI er 39. Den skal helst være under 25, og det vil si jeg burde veie under 80 kg (midjemål ca. 80cm)

The national day in Norway is big and popular among the population. In Bergen you will see half the population in the streets, and many in their national costumes. Bands play and children eat lots of ice cream :-)

Blinded by the Light

Chris Thompson (former Manfred Mann's Earth Band lead singer) with the Mads Eriksen Band at the Bergen pub, Madam Felle.The song was written by Bruce Springsteen, but his single from 1973 was no success. Manfred Mann's Earth Band were more successful with their cover version on the "Roaring silence" album in 1976. The song reached #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 on 19 February 1977, and #1 on the Canadian RPM chart the same day.

Davy's On The Road Again was written by John Simon and Robbie Robertson and recorded first time on "The Band" album, "John Simon's Album" in 1970. Manfred Mann's earth Band recorded their cover version in 1978 on the legendary Album "Watch"

Mitt innlegg under artikkelen:

Forstår ikke tittelen. Er det ment negativt? 40 % er ikke et stort tall sammenlignet med andre tilsvarende nettsteder. Det vil alltid være mange som prøver ut flere nettsteder uten å bruke dem. Jeg er selv registrert på et titalls steder, men bruker bare et par... Det jeg syns er morsomt, er hvor fasinert journalister er av Twitter. De som til vanlig bruker mange ord trives tydeligvis med et medium som tillater 140 tegn. Kanskje en utfordring å si mest mulig med få ord?

On the road again

Travel doesn't only mean shifting your body from one side of the earth to the other. It can in fact also mean the trip you do in the morning going to work! A trip like that can also be an adventure if one tries to be awake and observe the little things out of the ordinary.

Like this morning on my way to work, I was listening to the local news on my car radio, and they reported a police chase on the island where I work. Apparently a vigilant person had observed a couple of thieves trying to row off with a boat at 4 am. He called the police and took them in his own boat to chase the thieves. The thieves had then jumped ashore and the chase was afoot. 

Just after hearing this, I saw ahead a police car parked halfway in the road, six policemen and a German Shepherd. I could see the police were interviewing a couple of young gentlemen that clearly were not on their way to work. Well done!
